EXHIBITS DUE: Tuesday of Fair Week from 2pm - 8pm
LOCATION: Exhibit Building
EXHIBITS RELEASED: Sunday 4pm

*All entries must be submitted by the deadline for the fair to prepare entry tags, administrative tasks and logistical considerations for display in each department. If for any reason that your exhibit is not ready, prepared, finished or otherwise by the exhibit drop off date, there is no penalty; let the department know that you did not bring that exhibit and your entry submission and entry tag will be scratched.

GENERAL RULES
  • Items are disqualified if soiled, showing wear, too fragile to exhibit or otherwise unworthy of being judged.
  • All exhibits must have been completed by exhibitor since the previous fair and not previously exhibited.
  • Limit of three entries per Class.
  • Please note level of experience in entry description: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced
  • Identical items entered in same class will be considered as one entry (set).
  • All entries must be made from natural fibers or a blend of at least 65% natural fibers.
  • Felted items must be natural wet or needle felted and placed in the proper category.
  • All exhibits must be in place by 8pm Tuesday.

Contests

WOOL AWARDS – ROSETTE | $15
AWARD SPONSOR: Klickitat County Wool Growers Auxiliary
  • Exhibitor will enter exhibit in Department, Division and Class as a regular entry. Exhibitor must indicate on entry tag at entry time and notify department superintendent of their entry in this contest. Items cannot be entered into other special contests.
  • This contest is to promote and encourage the use of wool in Adult and Youth divisions of these Departments: Sewing, Quilts, Needlework, Fiber Arts or Hobbies & Crafts.
  • Exhibits must contain a minimum of 60% wool materials.
  • The item awarded is chosen by the sponsor
  • Adult Award: Rosette, $15
  • Youth Award: Rosette, $15
COLUMBIA FIBER GUILD AWARDS – $10
AWARD SPONSOR: Columbia Fibers Guild
  • Exhibitor will enter exhibit in Department, Division and Class as a regular entry. Exhibitor must indicate on entry tag at entry time and notify department superintendent of their entry in this contest. Items cannot be entered into other special contests.
  • This contest is to promote and encourage the use of wool in Adult and Youth divisions of the Fiber Arts Department.
  • Exhibits must contain a minimum of 65% natural fiber materials.
  • The items awarded are chosen by the sponsor
  • Best Overall Crochet, Felted, Handspun or Hand Knit Item: $10
  • Best Overall Handwoven Item: $10
BOWMAN CREEK FIBER ARTS AWARD – $20
AWARD SPONSOR: Bowman Creek Spinning & Weaving Guild
  • Exhibitor will enter exhibit in Department, Division and Class as a regular entry. Exhibitor must indicate on entry tag at entry time and notify department superintendent of their entry in this contest. Items cannot be entered into other special contests.
  • This contest is to promote and encourage Spinning in Adult and Youth divisions of the Fiber Arts Department.
  • Exhibits must contain a minimum of 65% natural fiber materials.
  • The items awarded are chosen by the sponsor
  • Best Overall Skein of Handspun Yarn, any fiber: $20
